The Health Fair Saved My Life
Last year I walked in off the street. My Cholesterol was very high (over 7). Bev Arsenault followed up with me and with her support I went to my Dr. and I got a prescription as well I changed other life styles. Today (2009) it is 3.89. Thank You for organizing this event, I attribute it to saving my life.

Health Fair Saturday March 5th & 6th, 2010
March 6th - 9 am to 5pm
Penticton Trade & Convention Centre
New for 2010! Thanks to the generous donations of the Oliver Rotary Club and Oliver Recreation Commission, a bus will be available to participants coming from the Osoyoos and Oliver for a nominal fee. Details to follow. Limited seats are available.

The 2009 South Okanagan Similkameen Health Fair was a great success, with over 4,000 in attendance and Healthy Heart Screening for nearly 300 people. We were sorry we couldn't screen everyone who showed up, but remember to sign up on line early for next year so you won't be disappointed.
 
The Joy of Active Living! Be FIT and Have FUN!

We will be hosting a two day event which includes over 60 exhibitors, demonstrations and guest speakers.

DAY 1 - Public Forum
Being fit and having fun and presentation of the 3rd Annual Health Awards.
Guest Speaker: Dr. Art Hister
DAY 2 - Healthy Heart Screening
We screened nearly 300 participants that pre-registered. Each person was taken through the stations of assessment, blood pressure, height/weight measurement, eat right, stress management, cholesterol/glucose screening, smoking and lung health and goal setting.
 
Health Fair - a full compliment of health and fitness exhibitors
(over 50), demos and speakers.

This event is FREE!

Health & Fitness Awards Will be Awarded On

Over 4000 people attended the 2009 Event and 270 people went through the Healthy Heart Screening.
